With the rapid development of the plastic industry, the expanded plastic has been used widely in packing for transport for its good cushion performance and proper price. But it has brought a great deal of plastic waste which can not be difficultly efficiently disposed. The waste has brought serious damage to the environment. Many countries have replaced molded pulp product to expanded plastic such as PS buffer material. However, the cushion performance of molded pulp product can't meet the need of huge package. The green expanded product has become a study hotspot all over the world. The mature foaming pulp material has not appeared in our country yet. The study has very important research and application value. The study combines the technics of the expanded plastic and molded pulp. On the basis of experiment and theory combination, we have deeply studied the foaming technology of pulp.The research mainly includes that the foaming principle and technics of pulp; The decision of experiment prescription,the infection of adhesive blowing agent and assistant for the character of foaming pulp material and the cushion performance and comparison of foaming pulp material. According to the orthogonal experiment, we get optimal experiment prescription that is:pulp:50g,PVA1788liquor:25g,mixed blowing agent(sodium bicarbonate,potassium alum, potassiumD-Bitartrate,calcium,carbonate):12g,assist-antagent:4.5g,plasticizer:2.5g,nucleate:2.0g,foaming temperature:170℃.The apparent density of foaming pulp material is 0.1~0.2 g/cm~3.After the static cushioning compressing test for the sample of optimal experiment prescription, we drew a curve of cushion coefficient-deformation energy e .Compared with the curve of cushion coefficient-deformation energy e of EPS(ρ=0.027kg/cm~3).It shows that the cushion performance of foaming pulp buffer material approaches to EPS.The study has proved the foaming feasibility of pulp and established definite base for developing the mature foaming molded pulp material. The study has stated value of reference and application.
