The paper introduced PTT (polyrimethylene Terephthalate) comprehensively from its molecular and crystal structure, rheological behavior of PTT melt, mechanical properties, application and melt-spinning dynamics of PTT fiber. Through the simulation of PTT melt-spinning, the effects of the spinning conditions on spun fiber of PTT were studied. On basic of energy balance, the variety of degree of profile along the spin-line was obtained and effects of spinning conditions on degree of profile were discussed.The paper emphasized the spinning and post-processing techniques of PTT fiber. The industrialized production process of POY(Pre-Orientated Yarn) and DTY(Draw Textured Yarn) of cross-sectional PTT and staple fiber of circular PTT was discussed and processing techniques of above kinds of PTT were obtained. The results show that adjusting the processing techniques appropriately at the normal continuous filling dryer, screw extruder, spinning winder and post-processing equipment can facilitate the industrialized processing of cross-sectional PTT and circular PTT. Positive quality satisfied the need of consumers. During the melt-spinning of cross-sectional PTT, the increase of length-width ratio of spinneret hole and cool air blowing speed and decrease of air blowing distance and spinning temperature will greatly increase the degree of profile of fiber. Lower spinning temperature and spinning subassembly will be propitious to thermal degradation of PTT melt and increasing the over feed ratio of winding, while, lower tension force will do good for rolling of filament bobbin and rolling-back normally. There are some difference between circular PET and PTT staple fiber. In the melt-spinning of PTT staple, there is 30-40℃lower in spinning temperature, 2-3℃higher in quench air blowing temperature and 0.03 lower in draft ratio than PET staple. Spun filament of PTT must be laid aside above 10 hours to dispel internal stress between macromolecule. General denier in creeling of post-processing must be 10% lower than equipment drawing ability in order to counteract the return force in the PTT drawing process.
