As the automobile is getting more popular, the main developing trend for the automotive industry is lightening, safety, comfort and environment respect. The main means to realize the hereinbefore target is replacing metals by plastics. It is an important symbol to assess the technical level by the plastics consumption. Polypropylene meets the special needs by its lower density and ease of processing, and turns into one of the most important materials for automobiles.Beijing Yanshan petrochemical Co. polypropylene division is helping the automotive industry meet these challenges by providing support for the manufacturing and development of components. In addition, Yanshan delivers cost-effective solutions that contribute significantly to the performance and success of our customers' end products. This thesis lucubrates and discusses about the research and development of the high fluidity, high impact strength polypropylene for auto.Analyzing the mechanical performance of the imported PP, combining with the technical characteristics of gas phase PP process and the domestic market demands, the research target is set up for high impact resistance high fluidity PP. Choosing and optimizing the additive kinds and dosages through the double screw extruder. The local experiments have done on the gas phase PP plant.The experimental data indicate that it is difficult for getting the higher MFR directly by increasing hydrogen quantity in the reactor. The best method is to increase the MFR of powder as high as it could, usually at 8~10g/10min, then adding some peroxide using controlled rheology techniques during the pelleting process, the end MFR will be arrived to 20~30 g/10min. In one word, the best way is found to get the high MFR resin meanwhile decrease the amount of peroxide, that will low producing cost.The experimental data show that a contain of rubber in co-PP will enhance the toughness at a certain extent ,but losing the rigidity .To hold high rigidity of the products, the homo phase must keep high isoaticticity. The methyl in molecule chains should keep same order. During the work the high activity catalyst system is found as well as suitable exterior donors which could achieve higher isoaticticity. The isoaticticity index could enhance from97.4% to 98%.The experimental data also show that the rubber could absorb the impact energy...
