Currently in order to adapt to the global competition of manufacturing industry and because of the diversification of consumer's demand, the producers and the providers have to supply different kinds of products that have shorter lifecycle, less cost and higher quality. So that mixed assembly line is now applied abroad.The outstanding character of mixed assembly line is that we could assemble different types of products. The logistics of mixed assembly line has two traits: Firstly because of different means of parts supplying, bring more complexity to the operation of every workstation. Secondly when product is changed things become more complex, parts always be omitted or assembled wrongly, consequently the quality is affected. In order to solve these problems, ensure the quality of product, at the same time reduce the stress of operators, mistake-proofing system has been developed.Set up the model of multi-Agent Mistake-proofing system for Mixed-Model assembly lines which is for assembling complex mechanical products. Have done relevant research on mixed products assembly line for complex products. Adopt RS485 Bus hardware device to control the system, set up multi-agent modules for the software: workstation node Agent, data collection Agent, communication Agent and intelligent decision-making Agent. Established mistake-proofing system, which could be adapted to different types of product, have some degree of flexibility.The research focused on the following aspects:1. Analyze general condition of the research on mistake-proofing devices and its application, forecast its development direction, and bring forward that utilize mistake-proofing system to realize zero defect theory. Combine with zero defect theory, use the mistake-proofing devices in existence, take use of network tools to guard against mistakes occurring to mixed assembly line.2. Base on the practice of the company, we have analyzed the logistics of mixed assembly line and done researches on familiar mistakes caused by the negligence of operators. Have established the blue print and the main function of the system. Also accomplish the control principle at length.3. Research and develop the software of mistake-proofing system on emphasis, include the four different agent modules. Give out the feasibility and necessary of the software and analyze in detail.
