| Poly(ether-ester) elastomers is a kind of segmented copolymer, which contains the amorphous polyether soft segments of low glass-transition temperature and polyester hard segments of easy crystallizability. The properties of the copolymers are influenced by their chemical structures, the ratio of soft / hard segments and the microphase separation. In this paper, a series of poly(ether-ester) elastomers was synthesized by a two-step method. At first, the prepolymer was synthesized by ester interchange reaction. Secondly, the poly(ether-ester) was condensation polymerized by the prepolymer. Then, the copolymer was processing further by the melt spinning in order to make elastic fibers. The influences of the copolymer composition and the soft / hard segments ratio on the properties of the poly(ether-ester) elastomers and the elastic fibers were discussed. In this dissertation, the main theoretical and experimental results were as follows:1. Poly(ether-ester) elastomers were synthesized by a two-step method. The chemical structure of the copolymer was characterized by FTIR and DSC. The factors, which influenced the limiting viscosity number, glass-transition temperature, melt point, water-proof and oil-proof properties of the copolymer, were discussed.2. During the synthesis process, the temperature of the reactions must be controlled carefully. The equilibrium conversion of the ester interchange reaction of the... |
