Thermo plastic polyether-ester can be used as plastic and fiber material .Their properties could be adjusted by modification of chemical structre and morphorlogy to meet different kinds of requirements.In this paper, the polyether-ester(4GT-PTMO2000) was synthesized by melt polycondensation in the presence of Ti(Obu)4 as the catalyst. In order to improve the complex property of poly(ether ester), glycerin (GL) was added during the polycondensation to produce GL/4GT-PTMO2000, Meanwhile, carbon nanotubes (CNTs) was added by in-situ polycondengsation to produce CNTs/4GT-PTMO2000. The thermo and crystallization properties of 4GT-PTMO2000 synthesized was characterized by DSC, optical polaring microscope and X-diffraction.According to the DSC results, the crystallization temperature (Tc) of GL/4GT-PTMO2000 shifts to lower temperature ,and the melt temperature (Tm) decresed appea-rently, as a result of the adding of GL. While the crystallization temperature (Tc) of CNTs/4GT-PTMO2000 shifts to higher temperature, and the melt temperature (Tm) showed little change, as a result of the adding of CNTs .Elastic fiber was made from GL/4GT-PTMO2000 and CNTs/4GT-PTMO2000 by melt spinning method. Stress-Strain and the elastic recovery properties was characterized by strengh test machine. The modulus of GL/4GT-PTMO2000 and CNTs/4GT-PTMO2000 was higher than that of 4GT-PTMO2000.The recovery ability increased due to the adding of GL or CNTs.
