Shape memory polymer Alloy (SMPA) based on thermoplastic elastomer Styrene-ethylene-butadiene-styrene block copplymer (SEBS) and polyolefin (LDPE, HDPE and PP) were prepared by two processing map: one step way and step-by-step. One step way which Direct blended the SEBS and plyolefin; step-by-step way which SEBS was first dynamic vulcanized, then blending it with polyolefin (LDPE, HDPE and PP). Their mechanical properties and memory capability were investigated. The effect of the formulateion, filling, vulcanization, processing and curving system on condensed state, memory capability and comprehensive properties of SEBS matrix SMPA were further searched. The morphology of SEBS matrix SMPA were observed by using DSC, polarization microscope, SEM and WXRD. Our goal is to investigate the relationship of SEBS matrix polyolefin SMPA among microstructure, properties and processing. The following conclusions can be drawn from the paper:1. The morphology and properties of SEBS matrix polyolefin SMPA was obviously affected by vulcanization process. The special IPN microstructure can be gained by Step-by-step vulcanization process, which has good recovery capability and fixity. But only normal sea and island structure can be got by one step vulcanization, which memory property iwas not good;2. Different polyolefin SEBS matrix SMPAs has different recovery capability and different condense state structure. LDPE/SEBS (25/25) has excellent overall memory capability. Recovery rate of it was 96% in boiling water... |
