Shape memory polymer(SMP)is a new kind of material which can react to outer stimuli.This paper studied two way shape memory material whose two way shape memory effect was consequence of preformed elastomer based on SMP and its composite.Material mechanical property tests were conducted on epoxy based SMP and styrene based SMP,and the viscoelasticity of the two materials was studied,while tensile test was performed on the elastomer,offering fundamental experimental data for subsequent research.The shape memory effect(SME)due to the SMP viscoelasticity was studied,and it was explained by the time temperature equivalence principle.The SMP constitutive model was performed by general Maxwell model,and genetic integral constitutive model was demonstrated to describe the viscoelasticity,while nonlinear behavior fitted the nonlinear model.The viscoelasticity of SMP composite was deduced.The viscoelasticity parameters of epoxy based and styrene based SMP as well as their composites were fitted on the basis of experimental data.The SME and two way SME was performed by finite element analysis,then the stress and displacement responses under different enviroments were presented,as well as the influence of various predeformed elastomer.Two way SMP based on epoxy based and styrene based SMP composites was fabricated by mould injection method,and the SME was verified by test,and the influence of different preformed elastomer was performed.Besides,soft grip structure prototypes were presented based on the one way and two way SME which can realize grip work,and its feasibility was certified.
