As an important Tooling assembly, fixture shows its more and more important status with the development of modern manufacturing to the flexible direction. I analysis the process of CAFD, and especially uses 3D parametric solid modeling software- Solidworks to re-develop to set up its CAD of the knowledge 's modeling engineering diagram. And outputting the information what CAD and CAPP need from the database, it realizes the CAD/ CAPP/ CAM's gathering. Some not only including parts total information( shape, size...etc.), but others information( rough degree, process the accuracy, form the business trip etc.) and assembling information.Based on the research on the representation of fixture design knowledge and the reasoning method of knowledge-based fixture design, we confirmed a fixture design method with multi-fixture design knowledge and hybrid reasoning methods. And achieved automated choose of the configuration design of fixture based on knowledge. This towards developing calculator lends to fixture design that knowledge bases as development, knowledge expresses, as well as knowledge the rule. Knowledge makes us offend to return into the knowledge base to manage the system into the research, so called that sub-knowledge establishing of base.Passing through expression fixture design knowledge research, the fixture project reasoning logically, gets clearer and more definite. The technique of Computer Aided Fixture Design is to take calculator, Various of knowledge's express methods combine together, and reasoning logically combine together to design the way of thinking.
