This paper studied on the preparation, characterization and ultraviolet resistance of urushiol-formaldehyde polymer/inorganic hybrid materials. Firstly, urushiol-formal dehyde polymer/ multihydroxyl polyacrylate resin/SiO2(PUF/AR/ SiO2) and urushio 1-formaldehyde polymer/ multihydroxyl polyacrylate resin/TiO2(PUF/AR/ TiO2) hyb rid materials were prepared via sol-gel process , urushiol-formaldehyde polyme r/ multihydroxyl polyacrylate resin/ZnO(PUF/AR/ ZnO) hybrid materials were p repared via sol-polymer blend method. The structure and properties of hybrid m aterials were studied by FTIR, DMTA, TEM and other physico-chemical means. T he results showed that the organic and inorganic components in hybrid materials c onnected mainly with covalent bond, inorganic particles were well dispersed and n o obviously aggregated in the hybrid materials. The comprehensive properties of hybrid materials could be improved, especially its alkali resistance and the ultravio letresistance were greatly improved.Secondly, Interpenetrated polymer network (IPN) coating was prepared from urus hiol-ferric polymer and multihydroxylalkyd resin(AIR). Its structure, mechanism of network formation and behavior of mechanical properties were characterized by D MTA, IR and other physico-chemical means. The solvent resistance and dynamic mechanical properties were also studied. The results showed that IPN was formed at definite ratio of PUF and AIR, with the cornbinated features of PUF coating a nd acrylic coating, especially its alkali resistance and solvent resistance were greatl y improved.Lastly, the chemical combination of lacquer (SQ) and organophilie montmorillo nite(MMT) has been studied too. Products were characterized with XRD, SEM, T G. The result showed that the ultraviolet resistance of lacquer / multihydroxyl pol yacrylate resin /organophilie montmorillonite nano-composite prepared by intercalati ve polymerization was greatly improved. The comprehensive properties of nano-co mposite could be improved when the amount of the organophilie montmorillonite was no more than 10%.
