The Research On Modal And Decorative Meaning Of The Officer's Cap Chair

This article analyses the historical status,evolvement process,variety types and the whole form of the officer's cap chair from the aspects of theoretical research on the development and character of Chinese traditional seat; It studies pertinently modal characters ,cultural meanings and decorative characters of the officer's cap chair; It put forward an argument that the officer's cap chair modal and decorative meanings are all-around embodiment of the Chinese traditional culture ;It also analyses the relationship between the officer's cap chair and architecture,art,philosophy, folk-custom and other Chinese traditional culture; Furthermore, this article expounds that modal and decorative meanings of the officer's cap chair have realistic instructional effect on modern furniture design.By the Tang dynasty, high furniture had gradually developed and were perfected. It came to maturity by the Ming dynasty. Usually, Seats includes stool and chair.
