Superabsorbent polymer has been widely used in industry,agriculture,medical hygiene field and so on, but because of its expensive price had limited its application domain expansion. Explores new preparation method to reduce the cost of Superabsorbent polymer and improves the properties of Superabsorbent polymer were very important in theories and applications. This paper studied the synthesis and properties of PAA/kaolin and PAA/ SiO2 Superabsorbent composition polymer,the polymer was synthesized by static aqueous solution polymerization. The relations between structures and properties were discussed.When the Kaolin mass fraction was 33%, the processing parameter of PAA/kaolin superabsorbent composition polymer were obtained: Polymerization temperature:65℃; Acrylic acid mass fraction:33%; Neutralization degree of acrylic acid : 60%; Initiator mass fraction : 0.2%; Crosslinker mass fraction : 0.04%. Absorbency of the PAA/kaolin superabsorbent composition polymer to distilled water and salted water were 700, 73 g/g.When the SiO2 mass fraction was 33%, the processing parameter of PAA/SiO2 superabsorbent composition polymer were obtained: Polymerization temperature:65℃; Acrylic acid mass fraction:30%; Neutralization degree of acrylic acid:55%; Initiator mass fraction:0.3%; Crosslinker mass fraction: 0.04%. Absorbency of the PAA/SiO2 superabsorbent composition polymer to distilled water and salted water were 740, 69 g/g.The relation between structures and properties indicated that:1.The inorganic fillers were grafted with acrylic acid,which increased the gelatin intensity of the superabsorbent composition polymer. 2.Because of the inhibitor of the oxygen adsorbed on the inorganic granule surface , the structure of superabsorbent composition polymer was compound "sea-island" , The density of crosslinking decreased from the inorganic granule,the low crosslinking phase was filled in the high crosslinking phase. when the macroscopic gelatin intensity was similar, the absorbency of superabsorbent composition polymer was higher,the percentage of PAA was lower, the cost of production reduced about 25%.
