In this paper, the problem beam-pumping unit in use and the study status of pumping unit driven by a linear motor are analyzed. Based on analysis and research, a multifunctional, pumping unit driven by a linear motor has been designed. The structural design of pumping unit driven by a linear motor according to technology requirement is designed, the size of each component of pumping unit driven by a linear motor is determined based strength, some problems such as high power consumption, low production, short stroke of walking beam of pumping unit are solved. So the pumping unit has a large application future.The major characteristic of the pumping unit is as follows: long stroke, steady operation and good effect; the counterbalance is installed inside of the machine, which makes the people that work nearby pumping unit more safely; special mechanical brake and protective device are installed, when break electricity and no load condition, the pumping unit can be suddenly taken off; the mobile base of pumping unit is specially designed for repair and maintenance.To examine the safety of pumping unit driven by a linear motor, stress...
