For its special virtues, hydraulic rubber forming processing plays important roles in aircraft manufacturing. The main defects of hydraulic rubber forming are wrinkling, cracking and non-pasting. As for flange bending hydraulic rubber forming, the main defect is wrinkling of flange. To prevent wrinkling, they often using side blank holder in aircraft factory,but there are few investigation on hydraulic rubber forming with side blank holder in abroad and home.According to the part which offered by 320 factory in Nan Chang , This paper simulates the hydraulic rubber forming of flange bending with side blank holder in MSC.Marc software, it includes as follows:Firstly, set up the FEM model of hydraulic rubber forming with side blank holder, contrasted the difference of using side blank holder or not, analyzed the influence of hydraulic rubber forming with different side blank holder.Secondly, compared the effects of different parameters of flange bending hydraulic rubber forming model on hydraulic rubber forming, and draw some conclusions of designing the side blank holder. These parameters includes: the dimension of the sheet metal upon the side blank holder, the height between the side blank holder and die, the distance between the side blank holder and die in bottom, the radii of side blank holder.Thirdly, simulated the hydraulic rubber forming processing using different hardness of rubber, loading, shape of sheet metal and friction coefficient.
