Bending, one of the most common methods in sheet forming area, is widely used by the machinery industry. Lots of stamping parts of cars, for instance, cross rails、 automotive side rails and so on, are produced by bending. In sheet bending process, springback as for a common and evitable phenomenon is caused by elastic recovery and residual stress. Blank forming quality, including appearance quality, the assembly course, product reliability and service life is reflected by springback.Many factors reflect sheet bending springback, for instance, binder force、 clearance between up mold and down mold、blank thickness、the root fillet radius of up mold and down mold、bending angle、friction coefficient、material property and so on. It is difficult for us to predict and control sheet bending springback because of many factors. springback deficiency is the most difficult to overcome in sheet bending forming.Traditionally, the way to control springback is to repair mould repeatedly. It is inefficient and it needs much time, which cause that time of developing mould is prolonged.This paper based on DYNAFORM,the professional software in sheet forming analysis, studied on sheet bending forming. It makes some research on some factors that reflect sheet bending forming springback. The forming process of V-sharp sheet is stimulated based on DYNAFORM Software and orthogonal design of experiment is applied to qualitatively studying the relationship between the forming parameters and V-sharp sheet bending springback. This can provide some references for predicting and controlling springback. Then, both S-beam’stamping process and springback process are stimulated by DYNAFORM. Finally, it provides a way to control the spingback through adjusting process parameters and changing mould structure.
