Polymer materials, especially used outdoors, are usually destroyed by UV light in sunlight. The light between 290nm and 350nm is a source which leads bond-broken in polymer materials. As a result, UV-stabilizer is inevitably necessary. But the low molecular weight UV-stabilizers are usually migrating from polymer matrix to the surface, it will limit the application and shorten the service life of polymer materials. In this point, preparing reactive UV-stabilizer and high molecular weight UV-stabilizer is a good choice to solve the problem. In this paper, 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone (UV-0) was used as a starting material and it was reacted with glycidyl methacrylate (GMA), methacrylate chloride and allyl bromide to prepare polymerizable UV-absorber 2-hydroxy-4(3-methacrylateoxy-2-hydroxypropyl)benzophenone(BPMA), 2-hydroxy-4-methacy lateoxybenzophenone (MHB) and 2-hydroxy-4-allyloxybenzo-phenone (BPA). All three moleculars were characterized by proton nuclear magnetic resonance (~1H-NMR), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and ultraviolet-visible absorption spectroscopy (UV-Vis). The results show that target moleculars were...
