Some polymeric dyes have been prepared in this paper and have been applied in mass coloration of PET and Nylon. The dye moieties with high thermal stability have been chosen such as anthraquinone, phthalocyanine and perylene. The activity of substitution reaction on the anthraquinone ring is studied through data of singer crystal analysis of 1-chloroanthraquinone. The study indicates that the driving force of substitution reaction comes from the repelling force of the chlorine atom and the carbonyl group. The reaction mechanism in the preparation of An22 is studied by HPLC-MS and indicates a reaction of two-step. The properties of polymerizable dyes are evaluated by thermal stability and substitution activity. The thermal decomposition mechanism of some dyes is studied by AM1 method and TG data. The polymeric dyes are prepared from polymerizable dyes by melt polycondensation, solution polycondensation, extending polycondensation, accordingly. The effect of the proportion of the added extending dye on the intrinsic viscosity of the polymer is studied, and increasing amounts resulted in increased intrinsic viscosity. The higher viscosity is beneficial to the spinning process. The congregation and condensation with PMMA of dye An7 are studied. The crosslinkage of PMMA is observed in condition of high dye content. The polymeric dyes are characterized by UV-VIS, NMR, TG and solubility method. They are thermal-stable enough to be applied in mass coloration in synthetic fibres. The dye moieties have proved to be incorporated into the polymer chain and the dyes will not be leachable by ordinary solvents. The mass coloration of PET and Nylon by polymeric dyes has been studied. The colored fibres are characterized by light-fastness, DSC and SEM method. The results show good compatibilization of polymeric dyes in PET and Nylon. Typical D-A-D conjugated structures are observed in the polymerizable dyes and made them potential applicable in nonlinear optical materials. The third-order nonlinear optical susceptibilities of the dyes are calculated by AM1 method. The third-order nonlinear optical susceptibility of An7 is measured using picosecond degenerate four-wave mixing method. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | polymerizable, anthraquinone, phthalocyanine, perylene, polymeric dye, mass coloration | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
