Gear hobbing is the auto gear manufactural technology that applied most widely at home and abroad at present .Auto gear manufacturing rise in high speed along with fast development of auto industry in China. Research about auto gear hobbing machining technology will do good to auto gear manufacturing of our country.Based on foregone research,a gear hobbing model is established in this thesis according to the relative ubiety and cutting relationship between hob and workpiece. By latticing face of hob and intersecting alveolus, research about alveolus cutting and forming process of tooth profile has been done, and gear hobbing process model is established based on precision control. Cutting force analyze of hob and hob axle has been done based on hob cutting graph, and gained hob tooth load distributing rule, which offers gist to the choice of hobbing machining parameter.Research on auto gear machining error analyzing and hobbing toothprofile error's forming mechanism has been done, and gained influence rule to hobbing error from hob error and hob sharpening of tool edge precision and indexing drive-chain period error, and given out auto gear machining error control step. Practice of gear machining error analyzing and auto gear products machining indicate: hobbing error is the main complication that affecting gear toothprofile error, and machining precision and driving precision of gear can be availability improved by controlling hob axle flee precision and cutter axle lean precision and hob sharpening of tool edge precision, and ensuring hob right fixing angle. The hobbing precision model that has been established will show biggish practicality worth to error analyzing and hob design in gear batch machining.Research on influence of hobbing design parameter to auto gear machining efficiency and machining quality has been done based on machining characteristic of auto gear product, and design principle and calculate method of hobbing angle and cutter diameter and hob teeth and grooves and hobbing length and so on are given out and applied in high efficiency and high precision hob design and application.
