Abstract/Summary:
Nine cyano-bridged coordination compounds(1~9) and eight coordination compounds(10~ 17) with formate as ligand have been synthesized and characterized by IR, ICP. Among them, three compound have been characterized by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The formulas of these three compounds are as follows:[Cu4(CN)5(DMF)4]n 1[Cu5(CN)6(DMF)4]n 2[Ni(Hdmg)2(HCO2)2]·2HCOOH (Hdmg = dimethylglyoxime) 10The single-crystal structural determination reveals that both compound 1 and 2 are mixed-valence copper( I /II)compounds. In the structure of two compounds, Cu atoms are connected by bridging cyanide ligands with μ2 and μ3 mode into three-dimensional networks.Compound 10 is a mononuclear compound. The Ni(II) cation has a distorted octahedral geometry defined by five N atoms from two dimethylglyoxime molecules and two O atoms from two formate anions. The two terminal formate anions lie cis- position of the octahedral geometry. Two copper coordination compounds with phen or dmg as ligands have been synthesized and characterized by IR and X-ray single crystal diffraction. The formulas of these compounds are as follows:[Cu(phen)2Cl]NO3·H2O (phen = phenathroline) 18[Cu2(dmg)4] 19The single-crystal structural determination reveals that compound 18 is a mononuclear compound, the central Cu(II) cation has a slightly distorted trigonal bipyramid geometry. Compound 19 is a binuclear compound, two equal Cu atoms with distorted square-pyramid are...
