Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) is the generic terms of various solid refuses come from cities. MSW's output is mainly influenced by demography, economy and policy. And the MSW is mainly caused by living and merchandise. The main composition of MSW is becoming from inorganic matter to organic matter. Compared with general soil, the MSW is more discret. Due to shortage of facility to deal with the MSW, enormous MSW can not be deactivated by nature. How to build and develop the cities is limited by MSW. How to get the best density of MSW in terms of good result is one of the main geotechnical engineering problems.Firstly in this paper it introduces the MSW's base situation of Chongqing city. Lots of investigation and extrapolation work are done on the MSW's origin,output, composition and physical attribute such as water ratio, specific density . the paper also introduces the means of disposaling the MSW of Chongqing city. Particularly it introduces the importance of the advanced Chang shengqiao sanitary landfill.Secondly in the paper two means of experiments are done to find the physics parameter and mechanics parameter, one way is field experiment, the other is indoor test. Field experiment is used to find the initial compactness of the approached MSW in Chang shengqiao Sanitary landfill, and it also used to find the cohesive and internal friction angle of the MSW. Indoor test is used to find the MSW's physics parameter and mechanics parameter which are vary with time when the MSW is in compression.Thirdly in this paper it compares the compactness of different operating mode, such as the style of machine, running speed, times of rolling compaction, thickness and travel way of machine. Analysing with the economic effects, it finds the best technology in Chang shengqiao sanitary land filling. During the observation of settlement to the sanitary landfilling which is in high filling of 32 meters, several typical observation spots are given and discussed.Lastly numerical simulation work is done to various operating modes. It discusses the way to use the mechanics parameter changing with time and loading., it also introduces the way to build model. In this paper it introduces how to simulate the dynamic load. To the settlement of high filling sanitary landfill, the way dealing with load is introduced. Some corresponding conclusions are appeared. In the end it compares the results of numerical method and observation. |
