As everyone knows, crude oil is important to economy. Almost all the oil extraction plants in the world have been in the middle-last of the development. Many techniques of enhancing oil recovery (EOR) have been used, such as chemistry flooding oil extract, heat oil extract, and microbe oil extract etc. Crude oil exploited need to transport and refine. Demulsification is necessary because the water and salts in water increase the cost of the transportation and erode the equipment of the oil plant. Some surfactants jointed intensify the crude oil emulsions stability with enhance oil recovery techniques. And the crude oil exploited exists as the stable crude emulsions, which can lead to difficulty for the next process. Therefore, investigation of breaking the emulsions in fluids of EOR is of great importance for the development of economy.The synthesis of demulsifiers and the rule of demulsifing have been mainly studied in the paper. Block polyether demulsifier has been synthesized using different acceptor, such as polyol, polyethylenepolyamine and phenol-amine resin. And then the demulsifiers have been modified. Polymers have been prepared and used demulsifier for oil-in-water (O/W) crude oil emulsions. These polymers can be used as the better dewater agents. The rule of demulsification of emulsions of water-in-oil (W/O) and oil-in-water (O/W) has been investigated at first in the paper. The orderliness of demulsification of emulsion of polymer flooding fluids has been investigated deeply. Many works about compound demulsifiers have been done to meet the requirment of demulsification process in oil extraction.Demulsifiers are synthesized mainly by co-polymerizing with ethylene oxide, propylene oxide and acceptor in high-pressure kettle. Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR), mass spectrum(MS) measurements have been used to analysize the configuration of the acceptor and demulsifier. The methods used are according to petroleum and natural gas industry standard SY5281-91" Bottle-test method of dehydration capacity of demulsifier", SY/T5329"Measurement value of oil in water" and government standard GB/T8929 " Measurement value of water in oil ".
