Research Of Shunting Ring Structure And Output Balance Of Rubber Venting Extruder

Venting extruder is a sort of extruded equipment by use of which it is necessary to remove the moisture, solvents, residual monomer and other volatile low molecular weight components from the polymer in the process of polymers. However, the extruding fluctuation and emitting material are the major factors for limiting the application of the venting extruder. These two phenomenons are both induced by the flow imbalance. Hence, it is urgent to study the flow balance of the venting extruder.In this study, by inserting the replaceable shunting ring at the end of the first metering section of the rubber venting screw, the three-dimensional finite element models of the flow field in the two stage metering stage were built, and the flow field were analyzed respectively by use of POLYFLOW software.
