Plastic process forming is an important branch of forming andmanufacturing technology.As reported,there would be 75 percent performes and50 percent precise process products would be manufactured by plastic processforming in 21st century.Saving material,less dissipation,lower cost,improvingsurface quality and getting better microstructures and performances have beenthe trends of plastic process forming.Successive partial plastic forming is an important aspect in materialforming and processing and is used maturely in rolling which results from itsadvantages of less pollution like hydrostatic pressure,taking fuller advantage ofenergy,stable productive quality ,implementing mechanization and automationeasily,higher productively and being able to making full use of the plasticity ofmetal materials etc..However,there are some problems in successive partialplastic forming that we should solve to form accurately.Rolling forging is a kind of forging technic that imports the rolling toforging.Because of the successive and local forming way,rolling forging hasobvious advantages in improving the using efficiency of the metalmaterials,productivity and product quality in the manufacturing of rod drawingand board blank grinding ect..But Germany and the front Soviet Russia bothdrew a conclusion that rolling forging is not suitable for precise forming ,andthe product stability is poor.My tutor professor Song Yuquan integrated the virtues of rolling forgingwith closed die forging and invested the new process of rolling plastic preciseforming,further contrived the rolling plastic precise machine,which has beenaccepted as the national patent(patent No.ZL95 1 09871.3).The rolling plasticprecise machine takes advantage of feature of succesive local plastic forming ofrolling plastic precise forming process has high use efficiency of energy andlow forging force of successive local plastic forging and high precision ofclosed die rolling.The rolling plastic precise machine made the new processcome true.Cross wedge rolling is a new efficient art and technology for plasticforming of metal.It extends both metallurgic rolling technology and forgingtechnology.Cross wedge rolling showed its advantages of high productiveefficiency ,precision and quality of production ect. in forming stepped shaft androtating member's by discontinuous whole plastic forming into continuous localplastic forming.My tutor professor Song Yuquan invented patent of plate-press rollingplastic finish shaping machine to solve the problems existed in roll cross wedgerolling machine and flat cross wedge rolling machine ( patent No. 95 1 09500.5,certification No. 61808).The patent could form large forging which integratesadvantages of high precision and simple module of flat cross wedge rollingmachine with the adventages of excellent toughness of roll cross wedge rollingmachine,rejecting the faults of them.Technology and equipments for connecting rods rolling plastic preciseforming is based on the theory of volume invariability for plasticdistortion,which demands to design the logical module,and manufacturing theroughcast in plate-press rolling plastic finish shaping machine to solve theproblem that cann't permeate both ends,then plastic precise forming in rollingplastic precise macine and shaping and pressing by routine technology,then gotthe precise shaped connectiong rod.We can see that the new technology keepsthe advantages of rolling forging and cross wedge rolling,improving thematerial utilizing efficiency and the quality stability obviously.Which reducethe burr to be 10 precent of the connecting rod made by rolling forging or hotpressing machine.and improves efficiency in large scope.Technology according of the paper Plastic Precise Forming Technologyand Equipment for Connecting Rods and Layout of the Workshop is my tutorprofessor Song Yuquan's patent Technology and Equipments for ConnectingRods Rolling Plastic Precise Forming(patent No.9701000921.X certisfactionNo. 60233). And the plate-press rolling plastic finsh shaping machine(patentNo.ZL 95 1 09500.5 certisfaction No. 61808) and the rolling plastic precisemachine(patent No.95 1 09871.3 certisfaction No. 61913) are the keyequipments,This paper tries to do something to serve for the pilotscaleexperiment basement of precise forming of connecting rods.We must solve many actual key problems when transfer the patentinnovation to the useful product.And the technology and equipments areimportant parts.The layout of workshop is related to the production andtechnology actualizing.This paper designs the layout of the workshop andarranges the equipments,signs out the flow chart, gives the models of theequipments and the workshop layout to show the situation of product line.Thepaper introduces the 3 patents of my tutor and points out the advantages ofthem ,showing the equipments and techology of the wholly product line.Transmission systems of the product line affect the production efficiencystrongly,so the designer must choose and design the rational transmittedsystems.The paper choose the transmission types and the slideway typebetween heater and the plate-press rolling plastic finish shape machine.With the developing of manufacturing technology and automatization,theuse of robots becomes wide.There are a lot of advantages of rolling plasticprecise forming machine,such as lower tonnage,highly productionefficiency,save energy,without impulsion and noise and easy for automatization.The submitting material systems affect the capability of rolling plasticprecise forming machine directly.Many domestic factories adopt roughcasttransmitted by hand,which is hard and dangerous,because the roughcasts are hotand would scald the workers if cann't hold the work piece,which will affectproduction efficiency.So the paper designs the material transmittingrobot ,selecting some parameters and confirming the design type.The product line of pilotscale experiment basement of precise forming ofconnecting rods collects the advantages of technology and equipments designbased on the patents of my tutor professor Song Yuquan,which has strongcompetitiveness in future market and technique developing foreground.With theincreasing of connectiong rod dosage, the market competitiveness will bestrong without saying.
