The reacting kettle is one of the most important parts in making tinnycarbon particulate. With the help of chemical method to break up the carboninto tinny particulates which are as small as few atoms is a kind of advancedmethod in make nanometer carbon particulate. It will make a great influence onthe technology of making nanometer carbon. As the reaction is in a strong acidcondition, the reacting kettle is required to be highly corrosion resistant. It hasto be made of pure nickel blank. The reacting kettle's holding capacity is large,the rate between height and diameter is big, so the manufacture of the reactingkettle is very difficult. The following jobs have been done in the paper.(1) Following the requirement to determine the construction of the kettle.(2) Analysing the manufacture process of the reacting kettle, designing thedeep mould and choosing the forming equipment.(3) Producing and setting the deep mould.(4) Making the material capacity experiment.(5) Using the process and mould to do the practical experiment.(6) Simulating the variety of the kettle's top and bottom's thickness in themethod of numerical simulation.The following conclusion can be got from the above researches:(1) The qualified kettle has been designed.(2) The curve diagram of the relation between stress and strain has beengot from the material capacity experiment. The curve has given lots of help tothe practical experiment.(3)The qualified kettle has been produced by the mould following theprocess.(4) The two curve diagrams of the varieties of the kettle's top and bottom'sthickness have been got from the numerical simulation.
