In internal Grinding of Deep-Hole, the internal grinder spindle presentsslender structure, thus the stiffness as the problem of the machine tool systemarises. The lack of static stiffness increases the distortion of the machine toolsystem, which made the cutting precision decreases. Insufficiency of dynamicstiffness causes the chatter of the machine tool system, which is harmful to thequality of the surface of the work piece;sometimes it can even make the cuttingprocess impossible to be carried on. The parameters in cutting process must belower, however, this causes the decrease of efficiency. Therefore the study ofceramic-metal composite structure internal grinder spindle, which aims atincreasing stiffness, is of great theoretical and practical significance.In this thesis, the structure, the static and dynamic characteristics of thespindle are studied thoroughly using ANSYS software by FEM. The study indetail is as follows:(1)The structure of the spindle and the influences on the static and dynamicperformances of the spindle are studied, and the structure of the spindle isdesigned based on satisfying the static and dynamic performances.(2)A two-dimensional FEM model of the spindle is built with ANSYS, thusthe static stiffness of it is learned.(3)A more accurate three-dimensional FEM model of the spindle isestablished. Based on the model, the modal and response characteristics of thespindle are analyzed. The natural frequency and the limited speed are studied.By comparing with the traditional spindle, the conclusion that ceramic-metalstructure is efficacious to improve spindle's stiffness in theory is confirmed.(4)Carry on the dynamic response experiment with prototype of the spindle,compare it with the traditional spindle with the same size, analysis the results,and get the conclusion that ceramic-metal structure is efficacious to improvespindle's stiffness experimentally.
