On entering the industrial society, people have began to exploit the earth andchange the eco-environment rapidly, as a result, balance of the nature was destroyed.Traditional environmental impact assessment can't meet the needs of real work, because it is usually characterized by polluter, and then the integrity of naturalsystem was neglected. Since June 1,1998,our country has began eco-environmentalimpact assessment of natural resources' exploitation and utilization in industries suchas the water conservancy, the water electricity, mining industry, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, communications and transportation, travel, etc. Besides, assessments on ocean and littoral zone development and area of trade developconstruction project were progressed.Recent years, researches about land reclamation and comprehensive renovationof eco-environment in diggings of different types were done natively. However, todo the environmental impact assessment of diggings is to be further continued.National bureau of environment-protection commended several methods to assess inthe book of , but as the uncertain factors were existed, some methods were hard to apply. Howto choose a befitting method according to the reality of program to finish theassessment is a new question for discussion.Taking Tashan mine of Datong as example, based on the investigation ofcurrent situation of ecological environment, by means of RS, GIS and on-siteinspection, analogy analysis, graph measuring, expert consultation and patternforecasting combined together, the author did eco-environmental impact assessmentof coal-excavated subsidence of sienna knap area, and analyzed the influence of thesubsidence of the earth's surface on soil corrosion and land utilization, then theauthor put forward suggestions on land reclamation and ecological rehabilitation. This paper has conclusions as follows:1.Forcasting results of soil corrosion in the area of subsidence of Tashanindicate: After the coal-excavating, 88% of the land was to subside in differentdegree. After the subsiding, gross of soil corrosion per year will increase to423226.67~790452.05t, corrosion modulus will be 2321.78~4335.64/k ㎡·a,intensity of soil corrosion will go up in some plots.2.Forcasting results of land utilization in the area of subsidence of Tashanindicate: Land subsidence affects land utilization mainly by the crack, pitfall, collapse or mini-coast which the motion of earth surface caused. The reduction ofland use ratio is mainly about 10%~20%, the highest ratio is no much than 30%.
