With the development of the technology of numerical control, the open system of numerical control has become an important develop direction. As an important part of the open system of numerical control, the study and development of motion control board also get gradually to pay attention. In the co-development of numerical control shoe-last machine and revolve-press machine etc. with the enterprise, it is found that some kinds of popular motion control boards on market have rich and powerful function ,but they could not meet the requirements in the aspect of the list-outline curve interpolation with the big data bulk delivery at high speed . therefore, this paper aims at studying and developing a motion control board that have the former function. First, this paper analyses the overall performance requirement of the motion control board, and selects the utility design scheme which is based on the special purpose motion control chip by comparison of several motion control schemes, and the chip is NOVA company's MCX314As chip , which has the position pattern interpolation function .This function can make the requirement of " the list-outline curve interpolation with the big data bulk delivery at high speed ." realized. Then this paper compares the characteristics of ISA-bus, PCI-bus and USB-bus, and chooses PCI-bus as the interface bus of movement-control board and PC, to realize the requirement of " the high speed transmission of data bulk ". To raise the resolution capacity of the encoder feedback signal, this paper still study the technology of having signal frequency 4 times handled, and designs the principle circuit. At the same time ,to solve the influences of processing efficiency and quality in the 3 axle spiral profiling of coordinate-polar, caused by the MCX314As chip's property of resultant velocity, this paper designs an electronic gear principle circuit on the foundation of electronic transmission principle. this paper also make use of VHDL language and CPLD chip to design the above two circuits, to raise the reliability and the integrated degree of this board. From the angle of application, this paper designs the hardware of the motion control board , including: the interface modular design of movement-control board and PC, the motion control modular design , the design of the peripheral circuit integrated modular ( CPLD ). this paper also study and design the interference rejection. By DriverStudio driver development tool , this paper develops the WDM driver under Windows 2000 systematic environment for the motion control board. Then this paper represents some important software interfaces and it's programs. At last ,this paper carries out the major function tests of the motion control board, and the test results show that this board can realize above functions completely, it's control precision reaches design requirements, and it's performance is stabilized.
