The anaerobic treatment technology is one of the most rapidly developing fields of wastewater treatment. It is an economical effective treatment process for both pollutant removal and reduction of operation cost, especially Upflow Anaerobic Sludge Blanket (UASB) reactor, which has become mainstream technology of anaerobic treatment. UASB process has been introduced and developed in China since 80's of 20 century. During past several Five-year Programs, National Environmental Protection Agency and National Scientific and Technology Committee have put UASB technology on National key project. The great efforts have been made for process development and demonstration project research by the research Institutes and Universities.This study focused on the effect of gas pressure to UASB reactors. Two UASB anaerobic reactor models which were made by myself have the same size, the same shape, the same structure and so on. The two reactors are in the same situations such as temperature, Up- flow Velocity, the activated sludge, the waste water ect.,through adjusts the gas pressure of the two anaerobic reactors, and through the experimental monitor waste water each water quality target (for example: CODcr, ammonia nitrogen, the PH value and VFA) , studies the relation of the gas pressure with the waste water processing effect, and discovers the gas pressure when the UASB anaerobic reactor achieves the best processing effect.Through the monitoring to the wastewater of Sichuan Zhengda leather manufacturing CO., Ltd. The conclusions are as follows:Along with the gas pressure increasing, UASB anaerobic reactor to COD elimination ratio gradually increases;Simultaneously ammonia nitrogen elevating ratio also gradually increases;The water leakage VFA density gradually reduces, moreover along with the gas pressure increasing, which reduces more and more obviously;The water leakage PH value drops slightly, but the drop scope is very small, cannot affect the normal operation of the entire reactor. |
