Research On Environmental Carrying Capacity Evaluation Of Development Zone

This research has expatiated the research actuality and the concept of environmental carrying capacity. And this paper expoud the academic base ofenvironmental carrying capacity. Based on these, this paper put forward a new concept of environmental carrying capacity of development zone.The thesis constructed a set of evaluation indicator system and a set of evaluation method for region environmental carrying capacity. Weightings of indicator system have been determined by analytic hierarchy process. Both of qualitative analysis and quantitative evaluation are concluded in the evaluation process. And used the the method of multilevel fuzzy to evaluate the region environmental carrying capacity. This paper has plot the environmental carrying capacity for four levels: not saturated level, subsaturated level, saturated level and beyond saturated level.Case study of Chaohu Economic and Technical Development Zone has been carried out in this thesis. Which has a mark of 0.6346 in composite index of region environmental carrying capacity . It is ranked of level II ,which belongs to relatively higher level.The research of this thesis has a positive action to the development of the evaluation of region environmental carrying capacity , and can provide significant directive action to environmental planning and development.
