"Anti-anthropocentrism" is a prevailing thought in the west and the domestic contemporarily. Being quite abstract, ideal, it has profound realistic cause and roots from a long ideological tradition. In terms of realistic cause, the "Anti-anthropocentrism" thought was brought forward under the circumstance of a global environment and resource crisis. Its philosophical reflection has prominent ideological significance, expressing that human beings should review the subjective-objective relationship between man and nature from a universal and long-term perspective, advocating that man should be temperate to exploit and utilize nature, thus having a profound significance in warning human beings to respect and protect nature. However, the premise of protecting nature drawn by the "Anti-anthropocentrism" thought is wrong. Theoretically, its problem lies in a lack of practicality. Through analyzing the principal ideas of the "Anti-anthropocentrism" thought, such as "inner value", "natural right", "the ethical relationship between man and nature", etc. the essay holds that it was by changing the nature that human beings went beyond animals, and by continuously changing the nature, human beings are developing themselves. If human beings want to live, they have to change nature. Practice is the basic way for human beings to exist. Nature possesses no "inner value", not to mention rights, so there is no natural ethical bond between nature and human beings. Many factors contribute to the deterioration of the environment; the cognitive factor is just one of them. Entirely attributing it to the change of nature covers up its social causes. The deterioration of the environment is caused by certain manners in changing nature and should be resolved by reforming the way to change nature instead of changing nature for the benefits of man. So the author thinks that in the sense that what human beings think and do are for the sake of themselves, not for that of nature, it's still necessary to advocate "Human-oriented" in opposition to the "Anti-anthropocentrism" thought.
