Organic phosphorous pesticide is a kind of main pesticide in our country because of their properties in excellent bioactivity and the lower cost. The phosphorous pesticides are more than forty kinds and the number of them presented higher toxic, excellent phosphorous pesticide scares in our homeland. Five kinds of pesticides were inhabited. Therefore, It is very important that the pesticides with lower toxic and broad-spectra property be studied and produced in our country.Diazinon is one of main pesticides until now, an organic phosphorous pesticide found in 1950'. It is widely used in almost major crops with broad-spectra property with the mechanism in touch killing, stomach poison, vapor killing and inner adsorption. Diazinon has been produced in the United States, Japan, England and Swiss, its annual output was more than 10,000Kg in their country.Based on the research of the market in our country, the process for Diazinon is unsatisfied, the product content is about 90%, the yield is lower. Besides, the process for the key intermediate 2-isopropyl-4-4methyprimidine is used by methanol method in the aromatic or alkane solvent now. There are still some problems in this process, in which production term is long, a number of energy was wasted, the product quality is unsatisfied.This thesis focused on the synthetic method of the intermediate (2-isopropyl-4-4methyprimidine) from the raw (isobutyl cyanide) to meet with the need of pesticide industry.
