| The laser cladding technology on the surface of 35 steel with Ni-based self-fluxing alloy is studied. On the base of its microstructure and property of wear resistance, the cladding technology is greatly improved than that of the flame. By the studies of microstructure, mechanical property and corrosion resistance, the cladding layer with different amount of WC particle in Ni matrix is obtained. The results show that the Ni-based alloy coating can be used in piston. Its hardness is higher than 60(HRc), and wear resistance and corrosion resistance are more excellent than the layer of flame cladding. For the Ni-base alloy, the best specfic energy density is 120J/mm~3. If 35%WC(wt%) is added into Ni-based alloy, the coating hardness is HRA80.53, which is higher much than the hardness of flame sprayed layer(HRc39.5). The wear rate of laser cladded coating is 0.0012632 g/mm~2, more than 2.5 times than flame sprayed layer. The corrosion resistance is also further enhanced compared with the Ni-based alloy, indicating that the Ni/WC coating is the cladding layer with good wear and corrosion resistance. The technology of laser cladding for piston is a good and feasible method. |
