Mechanical polishing(impact) electroplating is a kind of electroplating technology which can be applied to the surface of the plating layer in real time on the surface of the coating. The way to achieve mechanical polishing(impact) electroplating is that mechanical polishing(impact)plating equipment device drives plating bath containing glass ball to vibration in accordance with its own frequency and amplitude. In electroplating process, the glass balls are used to make mechanical polishing(impact) on the coating, so the steps of chemical transformation and electrochemical reaction and crystallization steps are altered,so that the corrosion resistance and the mechanical properties of the coating are improved.In this paper, the influence factors of process of electroplating copper coating are studied by mechanical polishing(impact)electroplating, and the effect of various influencing factors on corrosion resistance and mechanical properties of copper coating by mechanical polishing(impact)electroplating, and then the interaction mechanisms of various influencing factors are analyzed. The results show that the corrosion resistance of copper coating prepared by 500 glass balls with a diameter of 5mm in 12 Hz is the best. In the process of mechanical polishing(impact) with different density media, with the increase of the density of the medium sphere, the unit cell of the coating is refined, the binding force of the substrate increased, the hardness increased, the porosity decreased and the corrosion resistance of the coating increased. The mechanism of the unit cell refinement for mechanical polishing(impact) are as follows:(1) In the process of mechanical polishing(impact) plating, the current density of the substrate is increased due to the area of the block matrix, and the cathodic polarization effect is enhanced, and the unit cell is refined.(2)Media balls mechanical polishes( impacts) coating surface and forms a part of the micro or macro surface defects which are used as nucleation centers. Therefore the nucleation centers increase, and the grain is refined. The greater the density of media balls, the greater the mechanical polishing(impact) force, and the surface defects of the substrate increase, so the number of nuclei formed increases. The greater the mechanical polishing(impact) force, the smaller the unit cell.(3) Media balls mechanical polishes( impacts) coating tip, so that metal atom slips, and the coating is smooth.
