The discorona and re-entrain dust are two key iss ues to improve the efficiency of the electric precipitator. Application of a wide-support windproof electrode can increases the dust collection area of the electrode and windproof reduces the re-entrain dust on the electrode. The wider electrode with the windproof ditch, has a superior capability to collect the positive charge dust, reduce greatly the positive charge of the dust collection electric field space, this is advantageous for the collecting dust pole-board to collect the electric charge dust.The test on the discharge characteristic of this electrode in the laboratory has indicated that it can effectively avoid or reduce the occurrence of discorona, improve the distribution uniformity of current intensity and increase the dust removal efficiency of the precipitator. So this is an effective measures to solve the high ratio resistance dust.
