Abstract/Summary:
Soil water-holding agent was one kind of new chemical drought-resistant materials. They were widely used in the agricultural production and afforestation in arid zone and could make significant influence on soil improvement, drought resistant and water saving for crop growth.So it is necessary to study and synthesize the soil water-holding agent. In this paper, we use the natural polymer—coin starch and acrylics monomers such as acrylic acid ,acryalmide etc as materials, initiate them to copolymerize and get the graft copolymers, after saponification and acidification treatment get the product—soil water-holding agent, and also through the study on the process we get some practical conclusions: 1. We synthesize a new kind of soil water-holding agent, the water absorbing capacity of the product was 630g/g to distilled water and more than 90g/g to physiological salt solution. The productivity of the soil water-holding agent was more than 90%, and we also found the optimal synthetic conditions. 2. The suppressed evaporativity of the water-holding agent was 28.2% to mixed sand, it can improve the properties of the soil distinctively , It can also adjust the dispersion of water,vapor and heat in the soil and do good to the growth of the crop and enhanced the properties of the drought resistance. 3.The soil water-holding agent we made had much reproducibilities, after five times of water absorbing and drying test,the water absorbing conservation rate could be 80.2%. 4. The potted plant growth test indicates the soil water-holding agent we made could improve the ability of drought resistance and decreased the drought in some way.
