We have prepared some aqueous azo-initiators by the catalyzed reaction of azobisisobutylnitrile with some alcohols in the given ratio according to the Pinner Reaction. We used the IR and H-NMR to characterize the structures of the aqueous free radical initiators and assaged their molecular weight. The experimental results show that the preparation of the aqueous azo-initiators by the Pinner reaction are not only high yield, but also their water-solubility are very good. So they can be the initiators of the Emulsion polymerization in macromolecular synthesize. We used the mesoporous SiO2 as the reactor for the radical polymerization reaction and above aqueous azo-initiators to synthesize some high ordered nanorod polymers. We also prepared some biblock copolymers that are core-shell composite particles by emulsion polymerization using prepared PAE as initiators. We used SEM,TEM,FT-IR, H-NMR techniques to identify and confirmed the structure of mesoporous silica materials and the polymers. Scanning electron microscopy(SEM) images reveal that the biblock copolymers of the PEG-b-PSt are spherical, and their diameters vary form about 200nm to300nm. Especially , the morphology of the product PAE-3 is more order than others. And the diameters of spherical pdrticles can be varied adjusting the quantity of the surfactant.
