Nano-catalysis is the focus of many researches in catalytic and materialfields. Limiting of metallic nanoparticles into confined space of mesoporousmaterial has been proved to be a novel effective approach for the preparation of anano-catalyst.In the present work, with SBA-15 as a support, we prepared highly dispersedCu, Ag, and Ag-Cu metallic nanoparticle catalysts via surface-functionalizationfollowed by ion adsorption, calcination and H2-reduction。Both XRD and TEMshowed that metal nanoparticles with an average size of about 4-5 nm wereuniformly distributed inside the nanochannels of SBA-15, while the mesostructureof SBA-15 were well maintained after supporting metal nanoparticles.With CO oxidation as a model reaction, we investigated the catalyticperformances of Cu/SBA-15,Ag/SBA-15 and Ag-Cu/SBA-15. The catalyticactivities of the three catalysts follow the order of Cu/SBA-15
