This paper is mainly about the research of the design, manufacture, machining, analysis of a metallic mould with complex shape — a fan used in train. The complex parts are produced by means of mould, which improves production efficiency. By the research we can master the way of mould design and produce.The main tasks in this paper are as follows: Firstly based on the physical analysis of the part the model can be set up. Secondly according to the part designed out, utilize Pro/E to carry on mould design. After finishing the mould, we can design the pour system of mould, the trough of exhaust and overflow and localization hole, etc. Thirdly imitate numerical control process is carried through and produce NC code and manufacture the part adopting cast technology. Finally by the analysis to find the place of apt to defect.This paper performs a measure which fill the cavum with according to the complex shape of the mould. It can not only simplify the mould, we can process a block which has cavum of fan , but solve the difficulty of setting up divided surface. Utilize HUAZHU CAE software, we can imitate the shaping process to direct the practical machining.
