| Since the Earth Summit of 1992, "sustainable development" has influenced usmore and more from local to international. The interest has grown in industrial ecologyas a means to deliver sustainable development. The model of eco-industrial parks is oneof the means to realize the sustainable development. Eco-industry has been grown asone of the emphases in our country and we have built some eco-industrial parkssuccessfully, including Guigang Industrial Park which is main at sugar industry inGuangxi province, Baotou Industry Park which is main at steel making in Inmongoliaprovince, High and New Technology Industrial Park in Tianjin, and so forth. Thoughmany kinds of the industrial parks have been built, there are not one in which theChinese Herb Medicine making is main so far. With the effective action of the Chinese herb medicines have been accepted bymore and more people in the world, the demand is rising. And this makes the amount ofthe Chinese herb residue rise rapidly. For instance, the amount of it in Tonghua city hasbecome 100 thousand tons a year from it only 30 thousand tons a year some years ago.It has been prove that there are a lot of useful ingredients left in the Chinese herbresidue by experiments. These are not only the primary substances including protein andcellulose but also some medical effective substances for using the traditionalwater-extract way, because of their less dissolving in water. For example, flavonoids leftin Epimedium residue reach 40 percent, and there are three kinds of flavonoids left inAstragalus residue while total is five. These matters left in the Chinese medicineresidues make them useful. These residues are capturing people's attention, but the studies on them especiallyon the secondary medical effective matters are still few. The residues of Epimedium andAstragalus from a Chinese medicine industry in Tonghua city are analyzed throughsome experiments to make sure weather there is any flavonoid and the amount of it,besides its biological activity. the amount of the flavonoid in Epimedium residue reaches40%, there are 3 kinds of flavonoids in Astragalu residue while the total is 5.They are4H-1-Benzopyran-4-one, 7-hydroxy- 2- (4- methoxyphenyl)-, Coumaran-5-ol-3-one,2-[4-hydroxy-3- methoxy ben zylidene]-, 2H-1-Benzopy ran-7-ol,3,4-dihydro-3-(3-hydroxy- 2,4- dimethoxyphenyl) -,and the amount is 35.1%,50.2% and27.1%. The result of biological experiment is the substance from Epimedium andAstragalus could improve the activity of SOD in normal mouse's blood and goldencrucian's liver. Base on the experiments we discuss the ways in which the Chinese herb residuescould be used most effective and the most values could be made. In this way a model ofeco-industrial park in which the Chinese medicine industry is the leading part isdesigned. |
