According as mechanism of rockburst and the state of coal seam in working face, this paper establishes numerical simulation model of rockburst. The rockburst models that have different characters of roof and floor and different heterogeneity coal seam are simulated by the RFPA (rock failure process analysis) numerical calculation software. By analysis research of simulation result, divided the AE model into three type: distributed type, waved type and stable type, studied the influence of coal seam heterogeneity on the AE model of coal seam. Applying holding theory analyzed distributed layout of bearing pressure of coal seam that have different heterogeneity. Coupled with gray model building established the cusp mutation model of forecast rockburst based on AE parameter. Then using this model analyzed distributed type of AE, yielded the consistent results with the simulation consequence. In the end, applying cusp mutation model analyzed earth-sound monitoring information of working face 3406(1) of Huafeng Mine, correctly forecasted the rockburst risk on 10 March.
