In this paper, the villages of the south-middle of the Loess Plateau are objective, eco-land economic evaluation and eco-land design were researched.First, according to the development of econogy, economy and society, We evaluated Xipo, Feimahe and Nangou villages by use of organic matter, laber productivity, net income, land productivity, civilization level and communication level, etc 19 appraisement indexes.In accordance with evaluation, we pointed out "agro-fruit ecological agriculture"is a good model for the development of the villages'economy in the south-middle of the Loess Plateau .Then, taked Xipo village for example, based on the land productivity analysis ,we gived the project of eco-land design,and came to the following conclusions:1. The best result of the evaluatin indicated the development level is in Xipo village , the score is 0.8745; feimahe village is better, it is 0.4143; nangou village is 0.1101. The results were accordant with the fact, as proved the scheme of evaluation index is reasonable.2. The effective model of the development of the villages' economy in the south-middle of the loess plateau is "agro-fruit ecological agriculture".It can not only add farmers' income, but also prevent soil erosion.3. Distribution regular of PI in the Xipo village as follow: PI of Plateau area are better, its gully slope is lower. At the plateau area, the land with high PI is flat, fertile and near the residential area and its soil are "huang shan tu"or"huang gai nian hei lu tu".At the gully slope, PI of the sun land slope are higher than its negative area. PI of the land productivity cells are accordant with the real productivity of cells.The tendency is if PI is high ,the real productivity of the land cells is also high,vice versa,PI and the real productivity of the land cells are both low.4. The land productivity cells were classed 7 grades in accodance with PI, the eco-design project of each grade land as follows:① The first grade. This type of land is fitting to grow wheat, corp, rape and apple.② The second grade. This type of land is fitting to grow trees that can provide long for using and vegetables.We should plant leguminous shrubbery before we plant trees, when the content of organic matter was higher, we could plant trees.Land should be build rectanglar terrace when we want to plant vegetables, as well as we should plant grass to prevent soil erosion.At the foot of the gully slope, we should plant strong root trees.③ The third grade. This land should be plant grass and trees that can prevent soil erosion, when grass and trees growed, soil erosion would be prevented or minished, and we can reap grazing for cattle, sheep, etc. ④ The forth grade. This land should be growed trees and grass. When we grow trees for money, the density of trees should be perfect; otherwise, trees would be dead because of the absence of water. Similarly, planting grass will not only minish soil erosion, but also provide grazing.⑤ The fifth grade. This land should be built horizontal terrace or gradient terrace, finally, we need become gradient terrace into horizontal terrace.The final goal is trees, shrub, grasses, etc. cover the whole gully slope.⑥and⑦. The last two types of land should be eco-restored. In order to accelerate the proceeding, we just need plan and design the usage of land simply.
