Computer technology is the core of the world's third technical revolution that came into being in the middle of the 20th century. In the 1990s, due to the wide use of personal computers, digital recreational culture becomes a part of the popular culture, characterized by computer games and Internet. As an important component of the digital recreational culture, computer games are well accepted by end-users, especially by young ones, and even merge into their everyday life. Therefore, researches on the aesthetic influence on the youth and their aesthetic experience are very imperative for the future industrial design. This paper focuses on the computer games' form, which makes up the digital world, with the purpose to find the source of influence on modern people's aesthetic psychology and knowledge. Utilizing design methods on industrial products, the thesis also discusses the new methodology of product design for the digital times.Through describing the general situation of computer games , the paper presents that with the cultural and technological transformation, the modern people's vision and psychology have undergone changes. The individuality, immediacy and mimicry in computer games satisfy the needs from these people. Moreover, the rapid growth in the industry of computer games has drawn attention from the State government. The paper's study in this aspect shows that the production of computer games is the product of technical and economic progress, and that computer games have quite amount of effect on the modern people's psychology and way of actions.Then, the paper classifies and analyzes the characteristics of computer games' form and examines its effect on the consumers' aesthetic psychological actions and perception of products. These researches come to find that the computer games' form has influenced the structure of perception in modern people's aesthetic psychology. Different styles of computer games' form have exerted variant aesthetic influence on the consumers.At the end, the thesis expounds the methods and procedures of industrial product design based on computer games' form. The paper states that industrial designers should attach more importance to the resonance between the industrial products' visual effect on consumers and consumers' aesthetic psychology. Industrial designers should also add suitable combined elements in the process where the product form style is specified, so as to maintain the heterogeneity of content in designing. These elements can be well-accepted visual signs, and cultural and historical decorations. In the procedure of selecting form components, the characteristics of computer games' form can be studied from the angles of dots, lines, surface, color and texture, and be put into use in industrial designing. At last, SD experiment should beused in the experiment on form styles. The designers should compare the prospective formstyle and the final form style in testing the inaccuracy in the form styles of product. |
