It's the high speed cutting (HSC)that provides monstrous potential which makes it possible to optimize the finishing of surface. In order to improve the defect that the speed of revolutiong of existing NC machine is low, we research the traction drive speed-rasing tool holder which can raise the speed of machine to reach the speed of grinding without changing the machine's any part, as a result, milling machine can take the place of grinding, which can accomplish the whole process from roughing to finishing through once clamping, reduce the error caused by multiple orientations and clamps, decrease the cycle that mould is manufactured, raise the precision of process,enhance the utilization rate.Author developed the modularity speed-rasing tool holder, it can realize: the same tool holder can match different machines with different Morse taper tool holder; the same machine can use the different ration speed-rasing tool holder to realize the different raised speed, which makes it is possible to enlarge the using range and reduce the manufactureing period and quantity of speed-rasing tool holder, what'more, flexibility of this mechanism is strengthen. The holder solves the problem what traction drive speed-rasing tool holder which we have developed and researched exists: one tool holder only matches one machine which has the same clutch mechanism——Morse taper tool holder.A application programm is developed based on ProTOOLKIT and VC++6.0, it can automatically and conveniently create parts whith the several general surfaces, only inputing the parameters. simplify the process of creating surface, reducing the cycle of manufacture, cutting down the work of programmer, this facillitates the workers who use tool holder milling the inner surface of mould.The speed-rasing tool holder adopt the theory of traction drive (named as chemical gear or wet friction as well), so the elastic sliding is connected with efficiency of working. The test is made to determine the torque and sliding rate, using NC milling machine made in Huazhong university of science and technology, Dynamomter strain gage and speed indicator without touching, come to relation between torque and speed of revolutiong, relation between speed of revolutiong and sliding rate, and derive the sliding rate is 1.97% on the condition that output speed of revolutiong is 2000rpm and torque the tool holder can transmit is 8.465 N·m, which is far more 1N·m that grinding needs, therefor it absolutely fulfills the grinding even can expand the range of using it to precise milling,boring, and so on.
