In this paper, the recovery of Glutamine from the waste of fermentsolution after crystallization was studied systematically. The feasibility ofthe ion-exchange method was also studied. Started with the selection of resins, the novel technology ofmuti-column with chosen resin was suggested for the separation andrecovery of Glutamine, the experiment demonstrated its feasibility. Thistechnology had such advantages as good separation and, large capacity andeasy control, which promised for industrial use. The ion-exchanger used to wipe off the salt in the solution was selectedthrough experiments, and we also made some study on the process in thispaper. In the technics of separating Glutamine and Glutamic acid, we gotthe best condition in the experiments area. The weak acid resins and weakalkaline resins used in series can improve the operation greatly and canincrease the resins' dynamic capacity to 80%. At last, Glutamic acid can beseparated completely and the collection rate of Glutamine reached to anamount above 90%. In the paper, we also got the equilibrium data of 001×7resins through the captive test and the data associated with langmuir modelcan well demonstrate the isotherms. Using this process designed in the paper, the separation and collectionrate of Glutamine can be greatly increased. It will have a bright future inindustry.
