This paper discusses and analyses the reflecting and refracting and absorbing coefficient of the radio wave propagating through the coal seam and rock seam, and the factors affecting the coal's electric parameter systematically, establishing a set of experimental method which measuring the relationship of the coal's electric parameter varying with the different quantity of the adsorbed gas and the endured stress and the physical and mechanical properties of the coal, experimentally studying the quantitative relationship of the coal's electric parameter varying with the different quantity of the adsorbed gas and the endured stress and the physical and mechanical properties of the coal, presenting the index of outburst danger of the coal seam detecting by radio wave, and analyzing and studying the sensitivity of the index of outburst danger of the coal seam. The index of outburst danger of the coal seam and its sensitivity are tested and verified in the No. 10 mine of Pingdingshan.
