| The main aim of this study is to improve the properties of silk fibre ,and the purpose of weighting silk fiber was achieved by using sericin fixing agent containing rare earth metal ion . In order to get the best process condition, the sericin fixing rate as a function of temperature, time, pH value, concentration of rare earth metal ion and accelerating agent were investigated in this work. The variation of Properties and structure of silk fibre with different sericin fixing rate were analysed by measuring strength and elongation at break ,dyeing ability, scanning electron microscopy, moisture regain, thermal behavior, amino acid composition,X-ray diffraction,Infrared spectrum,Raman spectrum and so on. The results indicated that, after fixed with sericin , the fiber were no longer as clean as a whistle and the trigonal silhouette of the cross section became blurry,the contents of polar amino acid of silk fibre had increased, moisture regain had increased too, the K/S value of using weakly acid dyes had also increased a little, the residual of silk fiber in an aqueous solution containing calcium chloride and ethanol had increased with increasing sericin fixing rate, while strength and elongation at break had not deceased significantly, crystallinity had decreased but the crystalline structure remained unchanged and thermal stability had been increased sharply. |
