LF was initially built for dedling with unormal liquid steel. It was maily used in adjusting temperature and composition of steel from LD in Jiuquan Iron & Steel Cor.But deoxidation and desulphurization has been always much poor.For developing the new breed steel,the paper explored the technological way of refining effect in LF.On the basis of combing the production practice of home and abroad ,and traditional defect of Jiuquan Steel LF, The reasonable temperature, Ar-blowing and slag making system were provided in this paper. Industrial optimization tests indicated that the average deoxidation efficiency, desulphurization rate and average Equally ?[O] climating rate is 58.9%, 56.5% and 64.3%.respectively.Industrial tests indicated that the quantity of refining slag required is 900kg/per ladle, basicity after refining is about 3.0. Rational Ar-blowing process obtained in the study is that Ar flux should be about 5~8 m3/h before mearing temperature and sampling, 20m3/h in adding refining slag , and 25~30m3/h in heating, 18~20 m3/h in adding alloy, Small Ar flux should be controlled when refining was finished, which is 5~~8 m3/h. Heating time is 16~-32min, Average refining period is about 35min,Power is as high as possible.The conclusion can be drawn from the optimization experiment that LF of Jiuquan Iron & Steel Cor. Has had the capacity of refining. The functing of simultaneous deoxidation and desulphurization will be fally realized when the process was modified and operation was strengthened.
