The paper is one proportion of the project which studys on eco-environmental conservation allocation pattern and water consumption in northwest of China. The project is the second part of the consultation project which studys on water resources allocation, eco-environmental conservation and sustainable development strategy in northwest of China. The main research contents include three aspects. Eco-environmental conservation division in Tarim River Watershed is the first one. The second aspect is eco-environmental conservation pattern research. The third aspect is study on water consumption for eco-environmental conservation in Tarim River Watershed.1.Eco-environmental conservation division in Tarim River Watershed According to collection of all kinds of division methods and eco-environmental conservation index data in Tarim River Watershed, the paper use qualitative division method. Referring to the existing divisin outcomings, the paper divides Tarim River Watershed into three eco-environmental conservation regions and nine eco-environmental conservation sub-regions. The pattern includes conservation aim, land use structure and conservation measures.3.Research on water consumption for eco-environmental conservation of Tarim River WatershedBased on vegetation water consumption and quota Estimation, this paper calculates water amount of four source streams of Tarim River Watershed. The amount of mainstream of Tarim River Watershed is approximately estimated by using phreatic evaporation. The total amount of Tarim River Watershed is 8000.7 million m3.
