In the paper, two species of brown coal that come from Huolinhe and Yima are extracted with two different extraction ways. One is respective extraction namely extracting the two coal samples with five different solvents(CS2, benzene, CHCL3, THF and pyridine), the other way is continuous extraction namely using the five solvent to respectively extract the same sample of the two species of brown coal according to the polarity of the five solvents (CS2, benzene, CHCL3, THF and pyridine). And the raw coal samples and the extracted coal samples are analyzed with FT-ir, XPS, ESR, 13C-NMP and BET gas adsorption methods.Through the analysis, some opinions about the structure characters and the coal structure change after extracting of two species of brown coal are obtained. Firstly, the brown coal has more aliphatic hydrocarbon and oxygenic function, less aromaticity hydrocarbon; Secondly, 1) extraction process has important influence on the little molecules in the coal, 2) the extracted little molecules will lead to the change of the coal pore character; Thirdly, the little molecules matter in the coal have free group, and the extraction will decrease the free group in the coal; Lastly, two kinds of effect in the process of the extraction are existed: one is breakdown of framework structure of the pore, the other is the recomposition of the macromolecules in coal basic body because of swelling effect.
