This paper studies the properties and the application of the honeycomb paperboard, a new kind of package material.This paper tests the cushioning property of honeycomb paperboard with the dynamic compressing experiment, and disposes the experiment data with two different methods according to the application occasions. One method is to approach the experiment data using polynomial. This method is simple but practical. The other method is to approach the experiment data with BP neural network, with this method, a precise approach can be get. With the methods suggested above, the maximal acceleration-static stress curves can be get. Therefore, we can design the honeycomb paperboard cushion with the curves. Furthermore, this paper tests the property of vibration prevention by the vibration transfer experiment, and disposes the data with 2 methods. In the first method, the BP neural network is used to approach the experiment data precisely, in the other method, the frequency scope is divided according to the experiment data, in each scope, the Kelvin-model is used to simulate the experiment data. Thus, the vibration transfer rate curves can be get.This paper offers the process of the design and vibration collation, with the honeycomb paperboard properties of cushioning and vibration prevention, and illuminates it with some examples.
